Allah's Forgiveness

Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub Ansari رضي الله عنه reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said:

‘By that being in whose control lies my soul, if you did not sin, Allah [Ta’ala] would have replaced you and brought a nation that would sin and then seek forgiveness from Allah. He would then forgive them.’

(Sahih Muslim 2749)

`The ‘Ulama have explained that this Hadith should not be understood as an encouragement to sin. Instead, it highlights Allah Ta’ala’s mercy and forgiveness. This Hadith should be viewed as an encouragement for wrongdoers who have sinned, to repent and make tawbah.`

`Just as Allah Ta’ala loves showing kindness to those who do good, He also loves forgiving those who have done wrong.

Finding Fault

Sayyiduna Anas رضي الله عنه says:

"I served the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) for nine (some narrations 10) years, and I do not know (of any instance) when he (ﷺ)  said to me: Why  have you done this or that, and he never found fault with me in anything."

True Contentment of the Heart

Sayyiduna Abu Dharr رضي الله عنه reports that Nabi صلى الله عليه وسلم said,

“O Abu Dharr, Do you regard excess wealth to be richness?’
I said, ‘Yes’,
to which he replied, ‘And you regard less wealth to be poverty?’
I said ‘Yes, O Rasulullah!’
He said, ‘That is not the case. [True] wealth is contentment of the heart and [true] poverty is poverty of the heart.'”

Dua for Brothers & Sisters

Sayyiduna Abu Darda رضي الله عنه reported: The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
No Muslim servant supplicates for his brother behind his back but that the angel says: And for you the same.

(Sahih Muslim 2732)

It is said that the righteous predecessors, if they wanted to supplicate for themselves, they would supplicate for their Muslim brother. By this supplication, the angels would supplicate for them in the same way and it would be more likely to be answered.

“Do not speak ill of the dead thereby causing harm to the living [i.e the relatives of the deceased].”
