Salaah after Asr & Fajr

It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas said:
Some men of good character, among whom was ‘Umar, testified before me, and the best of them in my view was ‘Umar, that the Prophet (ﷺ) of Allah ﷺ used to say: `There is no prayer after 'Asr prayer until the sun sets, and there is no prayer after Fajr prayer until the sun rises.`

House in Paradise

Narrated Umm Habibah:
The Prophet (ﷺ) as saying: If anyone prays in a day and a night twelve rak'ahs voluntarily (supererogatory prayer), a house will be built for him in Paradise on account of these (rak'ahs).

Allah's Forgiveness

Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub Ansari رضي الله عنه reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said:

‘By that being in whose control lies my soul, if you did not sin, Allah [Ta’ala] would have replaced you and brought a nation that would sin and then seek forgiveness from Allah. He would then forgive them.’

(Sahih Muslim 2749)

`The ‘Ulama have explained that this Hadith should not be understood as an encouragement to sin. Instead, it highlights Allah Ta’ala’s mercy and forgiveness. This Hadith should be viewed as an encouragement for wrongdoers who have sinned, to repent and make tawbah.`

`Just as Allah Ta’ala loves showing kindness to those who do good, He also loves forgiving those who have done wrong.

Finding Fault

"I served the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) for nine (some narrations 10) years, and I do not know (of any instance) when he (ﷺ)  said to me: Why  have you done this or that, and he never found fault with me in anything."

True Contentment of the Heart

Sayyiduna Abu Dharr رضي الله عنه reports that Nabi صلى الله عليه وسلم said,

“O Abu Dharr, Do you regard excess wealth to be richness?’
I said, ‘Yes’,
to which he replied, ‘And you regard less wealth to be poverty?’
I said ‘Yes, O Rasulullah!’
He said, ‘That is not the case. [True] wealth is contentment of the heart and [true] poverty is poverty of the heart.'”

Dua for Brothers & Sisters

Sayyiduna Abu Darda رضي الله عنه reported: The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
No Muslim servant supplicates for his brother behind his back but that the angel says: And for you the same.

(Sahih Muslim 2732)

It is said that the righteous predecessors, if they wanted to supplicate for themselves, they would supplicate for their Muslim brother. By this supplication, the angels would supplicate for them in the same way and it would be more likely to be answered.

Expect good from Allah

Hayyan Abi al-Nadrah reported: I went out to visit Yazid ibn al-Aswad as he was suffering a fatal illness, and I met Wathilah ibn al-Asqa’ رضي الله عنه who also wanted to visit him. We entered Yazid’s home and Wathilah رضى الله عنه said, “What do you expect from Allah?” Yazid said, “By Allah, I expect good from Allah.”

Rejoice! For I heard the Messenger of Allah  صلى الله عليه وسلم say that Allah Almighty said:_

I am as my servant expects me. If he expects good, he will have it. If he expects evil, he will have it.

Fear Allah

“The most hated speech to Allah is when a man says to another man, ‘Fear Allah!’ And he replies, ‘Worry about your own self!”

Qiyamah

Sayyiduna Anas ibn Malik رضي الله عنه reported: The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said,

“The Hour/Qiyamah will not be established until time passes rapidly, such that a year is like a month, a month is like a week, a week is like a day, a day is like an hour, and an hour is like the flicker of a flame.”

7 Shuhada

Sayyiduna Jabir ibn ‘Ateek رضي الله عنه reported: The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said,

“There are seven martyrs besides one who is killed in the path of Allah:

(1) the victim of plague is a martyr,
(2) the one who drowns is a martyr,
(3) the one who dies of chest pain is a martyr,
(4) the one who dies of stomach infection is a martyr,
(5) the one who burns to death is a martyr,
(6) the one who is crushed under something is a martyr,
(7) and the pregnant woman who dies whilst giving birth is a martyr.”

Lies

My mother called me one day when the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was sitting in our house. She said: Come here and I shall give you something.

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) asked her: What did you intend to give him?

She replied: I intended to give him some dates.

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: If you were not to give him anything, a lie would be recorded against you.
