Abstain from Lies & haraam

Sayyiduna_ Abu Hurayrah 

رضى الله تعالى عنه 

narrates that 

رسول الله صلى الله تعالى عليه وسلم

said:

That person who does not abstain from speaking lies and acting upon it, certainly ALLAH TA'ALA does not have any need, in that he leaves out his food and his drink

(Bukhari)

There is no divine reward for the fasting person, who indulges in lies, even though he will be absolved of the compulsion of the fast. 

Every sinful utterance is included, such as false testimony, backbiting, slandering, vulgar language, futile conversation, arguing, etc.

Basically, we need to abstain from everything ALLAH TA'ALA has forbidden.

Many Ramadan

Many Ramadan have come and gone in our lives. Let us make this Ramadan a month which will bring about a complete change and upliftment in our lives. 

Our sincere intention is the start to our reformation.

Many people fast during the day but due to anger, they waste the reward. To perform mustahab actions is not wājib but to stay away from anger is wājib. Perform the wājibāt and then focus on the mustahabbat.

Sayyiduna Anas رضي الله عنه narrates Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

“O ‘Aaishah! Do not turn away a poor man even if all you can give is half a date.”

“O ‘Aaishah! Love the needy and bring them close to you, for indeed Allah will bring you close on the Day of Qiyamah.”
