In the darkness of the day we frown
From the sky the rain pours down
We feel miserable and glum
To imprisonment in our homes we succumb
Wake up from this surreal plight
Open up the Qur'an and begin to recite
In gratitude for the (Mercy) rain
The pleasure of Allah strive to attain.
